Auto Warranty Is A Must

Thinking about buying a brand new car, or maybe a used car? Are you trying to decide if you should get a warranty on your automobile? Many people don't realize it, but there are many things that can happen when you own a vehicle, and a warranty protects you from much of it. Especially for people who have loans on their vehicles. Loans are costly, but in many cases people need loans so they can get a vehicle to begin with.

Loans and auto warranties go hand in hand. If you don't have a warranty on your car and something breaks, you will be paying for loans on a car that doesn't even work. Oftentimes people that apply for loans are told they must get a warranty on the vehicle they purchase. Otherwise they can't get any loans. Loans are this way to protect themselves and you in case the vehicle you buy has a mechanical problem. Loans also require insurance, which will also protect you.

Some companies that offer loans also offer free warranties when you get loans with them. Many dealerships have loans offering this. Sometimes they offer loans with free warranties to people with good credit. Some offer loans with free warranties regardless of your credit. In any case, loans with a free warranty are always a good idea.

Loans that are for several years may not be paid off before your warranty expires. Most warranties are for a year or two, while loans can be as long as five to seven years. This leaves people paying off loans without a warranty on the vehicle. When you have loans like this, you should try to get an extended warranty. Extended warranties are warranties that cover your vehicle for an extended period of time. Loans can take several years to pay off, so why not get a warranty that lasts several years? Some warranties go by mileage, some as many as 100,000 miles. Many dealerships offer free extended warranties when you get loans with them as well. Loans with free extended warranties are an excellent idea.

Be sure to read the fine print when you get a warranty. This way you know exactly what is covered. Regular maintenance is not covered by warranties. This means things such as: oil changes, fluid flushes, etc. Many dealerships have them listed on the vehicles, or offer pamphlets that state all that is covered by the warranty.

Auto warranties are a must, especially when loans are involved. Loans are much easier to feel good about when you know you are protected by an auto warranty. Good warranties are hard to find so keep your eye open. Do your research on line, or call the dealerships to see what they have to offer.
